The Brief

Two Real presents Rhythm of the Night, the 00s and 90s club classics sell out event opens in Sydney. Two Real needed a new look, taking reference from dance and design culture of the 90s and 00s.

The Result

The Rhythm of the Night branding previously had a flat, tritone stye with a low level of dynamism. After an audit of iconic dance culture of the 1970s leading up to the 2020s, key features and their subsequent changes, such as type category, colour systems and text effects were identified. This allowed me to pick some of the most iconic styles from across album artworks and video that led to the holochrome, grain look of the wordmark. Mix that with a classic 90s white vest, long hair and disco balls and we had the perfect combination.
