A Perth based Bridal and Ball gown brand, focused on creating new experiences.

The Brief

Legends Bridal in Perth required a new identity, one that captivated a youthful and untamed audience, standing out from the crowd in the competitor market, that we identified was over saturated in the traditional white wedding space. In cooperation with their marketing agency, Creative Fix, the brief was to create the new logo and styleguide for Perth's staple bridal and ball gown brand. They loved a pink and green combination.

The Result

I created a multi-channel brand concept - showing the client how the brand could be applied from packaging, to outdoor advertising and digital.

Creating three wordmark formats in horizontal and vertical, alongside a complimentary script typeface, allowed us to push the brand name further, becoming playful with its rules. The only way to be true to the untamed wild customer, was to bend the brand rulebook and show the brand in multiple designs.

Through customising the typography, adapting the typeface to curve the interior detailing, I was able to pull the bold and impactful serif and create a more elegant look, that when combined with the wing of the W, created flight in the logo. This detailing denotes a notion of setting the type free and directing upward, a nod to future journeys - love of travel being identified as a key character trait of the key customer profile
